Advance Care Planning is a process, not an event; not just for people who are getting older. It’s important for all adults to plan for future medical needs now because a serious accident or illness can happen at any age. Advance Care Planning is not a single decision; it is a process that occurs over a lifetime as goals and values change. In depth details for various situations are discussed and documented.

An End of Life Doula, is a person who assists in the dying process. By guiding a person who is transitioning to death and their loved ones through the dying process. This can include emotional, physical, and spiritual support.

Usually a non-medical, holistic professional who cares for people before (and sometimes after) a patient's death, while also caring for the patient's loved ones.

A Spiritual/Bereavement Coach specializes in counseling services for people who have been bereaved recently or a while back. Allowing one to receive the emotional and spiritual support they need after the death of a loved one or if they were caring for a dying person. While focusing on the grieving process through a faith-based lenses.

A Death Cafe is a scheduled non-profit get-together for the purpose of talking about death over food and drink, usually tea and cake. The goal of these nonprofit groups is to educate and help others become more familiar with the end of life.

A Death Café is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session.

In other words, it’s a way to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.

I signed up for a spiritual coaching session at the behest of a friend, not really thinking too much about it. Silly of me, as my experiences just sitting and chatting with Kimberly have given me a clearer sense of purpose and I feel as though a considerable weight is lifted from me upon every interaction.
